I have a special passion for helping women reconnect and strengthen their core after pregnancy with expertise in diastasis recti safe exercise and healing.

With a background in Pilates and a passion for integrative nutrition, I built a haven for mothers seeking strength, energy, and joy in every stage of motherhood. Drawing from personal experience and a genuine desire to guide, I offer clarity, accountability, and unwavering support across all aspects of your well-being—physical, mental, and spiritual.

About Caitlin
I’m Caitlin Hatzenbuhler aka Conscious Core Caitlin. Guiding you to live your best life as a mom is my passion.
Here’s a bit of my story and how I ended up here. I’m a Corporate America drop-out with a past life in high-tech corporate marketing and communications. I fell victim to pouring too much of myself into everyone and everything else that my health and vitality suffered. I was sick, depleted, sad and just felt like I had nothing left to give to myself or my family. My spark had been extinguished by chronic stress, panic disorder, gut issues, cancer and lacking a sense of a greater purpose. I hit my (first) bottom.
In that moment I made a scary and courageous decision that was the first step in transforming my life and my health. In 2017 I left my corporate career and pursued my passion of becoming a pilates instructor. I personally began a Pilates practice in 2010 and became a believer in the power of movement to stay strong, centered, and move with more ease through my crazy life with two young boys, a husband, and household. I wanted to bring that to other women. Thus Conscious Core was born.
As I continued on my own health journey, I discovered that you can change the food you eat but if you don’t address all facets of your life that affect your wellness including stress, hydration, sleep, movement, environment, purpose and more, nothing will really change. And that is what drew me to the Institute of Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching program. In 2022, I became a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach so that I could further help guide women to find their greatest vitality without having to navigate it alone the way I had to.

Why I have a special focus on Postnatal and Diastasis Recti
I know first-hand the power of Pilates to strengthen the pre and postnatal body, ease aches and pains, prepare for labor and help with recovery. I practiced Pilates through two pregnancies and then postnatally after a natural delivery and a C-section.
Throughout my training to become a Pilates instructor I realized there is a huge gap and an important need to better educate and guide new moms to be strong and healthy in a safe and supportive environment.
Much of what is available for new moms when it comes to exercise is an emphasis on “getting your body back” without understanding that there are some essential first steps and needs of a postpartum body to support healing and the demands of motherhood. And there is a ton of misinformation out there, even by our own doctors, about diastasis recti and how to safely heal and strengthen your core. I’m obsessed with helping women feel strong and confident again after having a baby and I totally geek out on educating women on their core, how it works, why it matters, and how to get a strong one.
